Hey Drifters!
We just finished up the stream, and I want to thank everyone who stopped in and joined us for the last minutes of the campaign.
We did it!!
Now is the time for us to bring this amazing Tabletop RPG and setting to life!! It wouldn't have been possible without your help, enthusiasm, and support.
To start off, we've got a vibrant Discord Channel where most of the game chatter is happening. It's a great place to go to reach me, hang out, give feedback, or ask any questions about the world/rules or game design. Everyone there is a drifter fan, amongst other things and a great place to connect with the rest of the community!
What happens next?
Well, we go into full-steam ahead in putting into place our development and art plans.
For you, starting now and in the next two weeks Kickstarter will try to charge your credit cards and collect the pledged funds. Once all payments are processed, we'll invite you into Backerkit, where you can manage your shipping address, do addons or upgrade your pledge. We'll be posting updates when this happens and you'll get emails.
For backers who are A Familiar Friend or Sights Unseen (the character/boss creation tiers) we'll be reaching out to you in the coming months for details about your characters. But feel free to start thinking about what you want to have created.
We'll continue to update the PDF and Codex with updates and keep you, the backers, in the loop with the newest designs and art we'll be making.

Super excited that we're in the final stretch. We've unlocked the ReRoll app and are working towards the White Covers goal.

We've passed out first stretch goal! Two adventures, both will be published in the GameBook and the one will be published as part of the online Codex.

Next Goal - Character Generator App
Now we're well on our way towards the Character Generator App. We're not making an app from scratch, instead, we're partnering with Team Reroll and leveraging their Reroll app to provide a character generator foundation for Drifter. We'll be creating the assets and making character sheets inside of the app. Below is an alpha overview of its customization functionality. We'll be creating assets so you can make your own drifter, and style them as you see fit!
Playtest Update
I'm finalizing the update after this update publishes, we're making a lot of tweaks to the playtest, most notably, how combat actions work. Instead of having a three-tier action economy, it will now be an open system where you can make as many actions as you see fit, however, each consecutive action will have an increased energy cost. This required a number of tweaks to how various other systems interacted with this energy economy, and I look forward to seeing your feedback on it.
We're getting into the final stretch, and on Saturday as we close-out the Kickstarter campaign, I plan on streaming Hyper Light Drifter to celebrate!

Hey Drifters!
Earlier today we hit our funding goal! Which is always a great cause for celebration! Now we can look foreward to all of those great stretch goals!
The update is coming soon, I had an editor go through a lot of the text, and given that there's three places that all need to be updated, its been a handfull double-checking everything.
Just a quick thing to highlight, since I noticed that the full on-black text actually causes eye-strain, I added a background to the base text, that dosent take away from the style, but should allow for easy readability. I will also make a white-text version, but this may come a bit later.
Also the first stretch goal, Adventures.
We're going to make this first one public, and we've already got the amazing Nightmagin to illustrate the cover for it! (since this is an adventure cover, we can deviate a bit from the pixel art, but interiors is a different story). We'll share more about it soon!
